Flatbread

Some rectangles may cook faster than others, you may remove them and continue to bake the rest.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 c grated, fresh Parmesan cheese
  • 1 c cake flour plus additional for dusting
  • 2 T snipped fresh parsley
  • 0.5 t salt
  • 0.25 t baking powder
  • 0.5 c milk
  • 1 T olive oil

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F
  2. Finely grate cheese into a bowl, and add the next 4 ingredients; mix well.
  3. Add the wet ingredients and mix thoroughly to form a soft dough.
  4. Knead on a lightly floured surface until smooth and no longer sticky; adding additional flour as necessary
  5. Pat dough into rectangle, generously flour both sides.
  6. Place on baking stone or pizza pan and roll out to edges; prick surface with fork
  7. Cut dough into 12 rectangles with pizza cutter
  8. Bake 23 to 26 minutes or until deep golden brown
